Jacque Higgins

His past is unknown to him, what he does know for sure is that at some point in time, he died. As he was floating the streams of Death he was plucked out, saved if you will, by the Hougan Jaunty. Why Jaunty did this he did not know, and as he came to know the Hougan he would serve, he suspected there was no reason behind it.

Ever since he has been with Jaunty and learned the ways of Voodoo and the Loa. He has found strength and faith in the Loa, particularly Baron's Samedi. He spent his days serving Jaunty as he needed, learning herbalism to help in making Voudon Poultices, and he learned much of anatomy as his body required constant repair.

In AU17, Jaunty died while away, with his master gone Jacque waited for the magic animating him to fade and his soul to once again drift on the winds of fate.

However this did not occur, he persisted long after he should. Eventually deciding that he must be persisting for a reason, and so has taken up the mantle of Hougan in Jaunty's place, dedicating himself to serving the Loa as he always has. Making his home in the place Jaunty once did, a ruined Mansion on Union linked to a shack on Frontier. 

In AU19 the Loa returned, and Jacque was the first to meet them when he brought members of the Brotherhood of Souls to the Crossroads in search of Merlin's Soul. Now he serves the Loa and particularly Baron Samedi directly, working to bring the followers of the Loa back to the fold.
