Persius of the Brotherhood of Souls

Tarin knows very little about his past except his name which was engraved on his shield, after waking up in the middle of a forest he heard about work in dust and headed there where he met a group of people and made firm friends with a few of them most notably Mal who he swore to protect with his life as his personal body guard.

While in dust when he was talking to Mal and Tristan two members of the brotherhood of souls Jaunty decided to throw more confusion into Tarins poor mind by telling him he had two souls much to Tarins confusion and Jaunty's amusement.

Around this time Mal made Tarin an honorary member of Zoon.     

Shortly after this Tarin found out that his body did not only contain his own soul but the soul of persius a member of the brotherhood of souls, recently he found out about his brotherhood edge which is:-

Guardian of the Brotherhood

Which basically means when activated anyone in contact with Tarin is protected from vampire attacks, think of it as a giant shield around him and the brotherhood, while the Guardian of the Brotherhood edge is activated Tarin cannot move, he is rooted to the spot, so its a fall back position to recuperate, heal or whatever they need.

Most recently Tarin has been having a recurring dream about a battle in the area which he woke up in and is now concentrating on trying to find out about this battle, but a lot of the time this has been difficult as he strides to keep his oath to Mal to protect him with his own life.
