Joshua Lazarus, Theurge

(aka "The boy")

Joshua is the youngest member of the Office of Theurgy, but more than makes up for his lack of experience by being one of the most active. His medical skills are frequently put to the test and whilst he is rarely far from trouble, having an adolescent's ability to find danger, his selfless actions and kindly spirit have caused many a person to ignore the more stringent aspects of his Salem upbringing.

Sir Joshua Lazarus

A Salemite born and brainwashed, Joshua Lazerus spent the early years of his recollection within the ranks of the Office of Theurgy, literally giving his life to save theirs. After falling in love with a young frontier girl called Lou, also known as Guinevere of the Brotherhood of Souls, he has made it his personal quest to give the Brotherhood the final rest they rightfully deserve.

Like every young stable boy he dreamt of one day becoming a knight, and after many services for the faerie courts and collecting may favours amongst its nobility his wish was finally granted. He now carries the sword Conchobhar along with the favor of almost every queen faerie can boast.

Recently expelled from the Office of Theurgy for consorting with Abominations Josh, now Sir Josh, spends most of his time questing and attempting to perform gallant deeds as a Knight Errant of the faerie courts, whilst he is rarely far from trouble, having an adolescent's ability to find danger, his selfless actions and kindly spirit have caused many a person to ignore the more stringent aspects of his Salem upbringing.

Joshua Lazarus gave his life to the quest of helping the brotherhood in their task. When the time came to face off against the Emperor Crassau, leader of the council of 13, Joshua was at the front helping those who wished to strike him down. However in act of Craven Cowardice, Crassau grabbed the young boy and held him hostage such that the stave which would destroy him could not be driven through his heart.

With an act of supreme courage, Joshua demanded that Elias Thorne, one who had brought him up like his own son, should drive the stave through him and into Crassau. With a heavy heart, Elias did this and Crassau was vanquished, however the wound that Sir Joshua took was mortal. He died in the arms of Guinevere, who swore to him they would succeed this time in their quest, and in his final moments, he declared his love for her.

RIP Sir Joshua Lazarus, while the people of Avalon still draw breathe, you will never be forgotten.
