The Green Sepsis

The Green Sepsis was a contagion which overran Frontier pre-union, during 1811 and 1812, destroying most indigenous fauna and mutating the flora. Forewarning of this infection came from the future in November 1810 and work started to combat it long before it's first appearance in May 1811.

The work to destroy the Sepsis was spearheaded by the Shards Medical Association, out of their Whitewater front, The Upholsterer's Guild. Initially working on very little information, medical and research personel from all over the Shards came together, determined to find a solution.

The struggle to overcome this terrible disease continued throughout 1811 and 1812, it was almost unstoppable and had a kind of hive intelligence. However success finally came in October 1812, but not before many had died and Frontier was changed forever.
