Caleb Knight

As if being a Salemite-born yet Frontier bred former preacher of the Wissen who converted to voodoo was not enough, Caleb has also earned the unenviable position of being one of the Baron Samedi's Chosen.

A long-time friend of Rembrant LeBeau, the two recently reunited under dark circumstances. Caleb's home town of Midgewater on Frontier had been claimed by the Green Sepsis and Caleb himself was seeking to take revenge on the Horror. It was this all-consuming desire that led him to offer himself to any of the Voodoo Loa that would accept and the consequences be damned. The one that came to collect was Captain Zombi, Eater of the Dead. Caleb was then 'blessed' to become a Dead Man Walking, his mind intact but impenetrable by any means, his soul now in the possession of Baron Samedi and his body though animated was dead, and slowly rotting to oblivion.

The battle was won and the Sepsis was destroyed, but now the Dead Man has to 'live' with the consequences of his actions, and force Remy to watch his friend's slow decay into nothingness.

His faith has not left him however, and Caleb still views the Salem God and the Voodoo Loa as not two disparate forces but as one and the same. And this has given him hope, hope that he either goes on to better things, or that there may yet be a way to rejoin the living.

Died defeating Admiral Steiner. His disembodied hand still lingers around the Shards.
